Purpose of this Project:

The purpose of the Fundraising Event Coordinator project is to drive successful fundraising events to support our organization's mission. As a volunteer in this role, you will play a vital part in planning, organizing, and executing fundraising events, contributing directly to the financial sustainability of our cause.

Role Description:

As a volunteer Fundraising Event Coordinator, your role will involve taking charge of planning and executing various fundraising events to generate financial support for our organization. You will work closely with our team to conceptualize, coordinate, and manage events aimed at engaging donors, sponsors, and the community.

Work Activities:

  1. Conceptualizing and developing event ideas aligned with our fundraising goals.
  2. Planning and organizing all aspects of fundraising events, including logistics, venues, schedules, and budgets.
  3. Recruiting and coordinating volunteers for event setup, operation, and breakdown.
  4. Collaborating with vendors, sponsors, and partners to secure donations, sponsorships, and in-kind contributions.
  5. Creating marketing and promotional materials for events to attract attendees and donors.
  6. Managing event timelines, ensuring smooth execution, and addressing any on-site issues.
  7. Overseeing post-event activities, including donor acknowledgments and event evaluation.

Skills Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  1. Strong organizational and project management skills.
  2. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  3. Creativity in event planning and execution.
  4. Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  5. Proficiency in using event planning tools or software (preferred but not

mandatory).

not mandatory).

Orientation & Training:

Before commencing your role as a Fundraising Event Coordinator, you will receive an orientation session covering our organization's mission, fundraising goals, and event planning guidelines. Additionally, you may undergo training sessions focused on specific event planning tools or strategies.

Project Start Date:

The project's start date will be communicated to you by the organization coordinating the volunteer program. Typically, the scheduling of events aligns with fundraising calendars or specific campaign timelines.

Materials to Bring:

  1. Laptop or tablet for event planning and communication purposes.
  2. Notepad and pen for on-the-go notes and reminders.
  3. Any specific event planning software or tools you prefer (if applicable).
  4. Your enthusiasm, creativity, and commitment to driving successful fundraising events.
