Position Overview:

The Emergency Medicine Teaching Assistant supports faculty in teaching introductory emergency medicine courses, conducting virtual simulations, and assisting students in practical and theoretical aspects of emergency care.

Location: Remote

Start Time: Jan 6, 2025

Time Commitment: 2 to 6 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

• • Simulation Support: Assist in conducting virtual emergency medicine simulations and role-playing exercises.
  • Teaching Support: Lead online discussion sessions, facilitate group activities, and assist with course materials.
  • Grading: Grade assignments, quizzes, and exams, and maintain student records.
  • Student Assistance: Provide clarification and support for students’ understanding of key concepts in emergency care.
  • Resource Development: Help develop educational materials related to emergency medicine scenarios.

Qualifications:

• • Bachelor’s degree in Emergency Medicine, Health Sciences, or a related field; graduate students preferred.
  • Strong understanding of emergency medical procedures and protocols.
  • Previous teaching or tutoring experience is a plus.
  • Ability to communicate complex medical topics in an accessible manner.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
