Share your love of nature with your local community by becoming a nature walk leader! Help us host free nature walks at various trails on the Peninsula on the 2nd Saturday of each month.

You are required to attend both training dates on March 15th and March 23rd to become a Nature Walk Leader.

As a Conservancy Nature Walk Leader you will:

* Learn about our natural history from experts in the field!

* Help spread awareness about Conservancy efforts!

* Visit the best spots to enjoy nature on the peninsula!

* Become part of a great community of outdoor people!

* Educate others on how to explore the trails responsibly...and much more!

No experience required. Training will be provided.

Volunteers must be at least 18 years old and be available to volunteer on the second Saturdays of the month.

You will need transportation during the event to travel to a nearby nature preserve for the second part of each training day.

The mission of the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy (PVPLC) is to "preserve land and restore habitat for the education and enjoyment of all."

Description

The Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy (PVPLC) manages over 1600 acres of open space on the Palos Verdes Peninsula, and two nature centers with native plant demonstration gardens. The PVPLC engages volunteers in the development and maintenance of native plant gardens in order to demonstrate how gardening with native plants is beneficial for the environment.
