The STEM program is open to all students from preschool to high school with the mission to deliver top-notch STEM literacy and application, designed to teach students in the STEM fields, yielding globally competitive results.
Position Overview:
The Renal Physiology Teaching Assistant supports faculty in teaching courses related to renal physiology, assisting students, and ensuring effective learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teaching Support: Lead discussion sessions, hold office hours, and provide support for lectures on renal physiology topics.
- Grading: Grade assignments and exams, and maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
- Student Assistance: Help students understand complex concepts related to renal physiology through one-on-one or group sessions.
- Content Development: Assist in preparing course materials, quizzes, and study guides.
- Resource Management: Ensure that all educational resources are up-to-date and accessible to students.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Physiology, or a related field; graduate students in medical or biological sciences are preferred.
- Strong understanding of renal physiology concepts and mechanisms.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Previous teaching or tutoring experience is a plus.
- Ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse learning audiences.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
