Want to help refugee youth succeed in school and excel socially? RefugeeOne has served nearly 6,000 Ukrainians seeking stability in Chicago in the past few years - and we need your support to help Ukrainian youth thrive!
Volunteers with our After-School Program support school-aged (K-8th) refugee youth alongside RefugeeOne staff. Volunteers join our program - hosted at RefugeeOne's Norridge Satellite Office - one day per week to:
- Help students with homework
- Provide 1:1 English practice
- Facilitate activities and games
- Support staff in ensuring a safe environment
Requirements: Minimum commitment of one day per week for a full semester (Sept-Dec or Jan-Jun). The After-School Program runs Tuesday & Thursday, 4:30 - 6:30pm at RefugeeOne’s Norridge Satellite Office. No additional languages skills required.
