The Santa Catalina Ranger District of the Coronado National Forest is seeking Volunteer Visitor Services Information Assistants for Saturday and Sunday at the Sabino Canyon Visitor Center. Sabino Canyon visitor center is open from 8 am-5 pm daily. Volunteers need to be available for an 8 hour shift or two 4 hour shifts.
The volunteer’s primary duties are to assist with visitor center operations including providing information to visitors and answering questions, recommending trails and other recreational opportunities, maintaining the cleanliness of the visitor center, restocking information handouts and fee envelopes, and cataloging lost and found items.
Volunteers must have warm, welcoming customer service and be able to work in a team environment. A volunteer uniform will be provided to the volunteer and must be worn while stationed behind the front desk. Volunteers will also receive on the job training. While working at the visitor center volunteers will have assigned hours.
