GoodBot is an interdisciplinary community of socially-minded professionals working in law, technology, design, social sciences, and policy. Our purpose is to support the development of trusted, accountable, and socially sustainable technology ecosystems by strengthening awareness, research, policy, and practice.

We offer professional services to help technology companies develop and embed measurable social impact strategies into their products and business models and help them navigate a complex and rapidly evolving regulatory landscape.

We also develop original research on emerging innovation, technology risks and harms, and approaches needed to effectively govern technology and build toward healthy and inclusive digital societies that benefit everyone.

Position overview

The Copywriter will craft compelling, audience-focused content that resonates with our stakeholders, including volunteers, and the communities we serve. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and a passion for social causes.

Responsibilities

• Write clear, persuasive, and engaging copy for various platforms, including websites, newsletters, social media, and fundraising campaigns.

• Ensure consistency in tone and voice across all communications.

• Collaborate with the team to refine messaging that aligns with GoodBot’s mission and values.

• Assist in developing content for awareness and fundraising campaigns.

• Collaborate with a marketing team to align visuals with written content.

• Review and refine existing content for accuracy, clarity, and alignment with GoodBot standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field.

• Proven experience in copywriting, preferably in the nonprofit sector.

• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to adapt writing style for different audiences and platforms.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

• Familiarity with SEO best practices is a plus.

• Passion for social impact and GoodBot’s mission.
