About DROSTE MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES INC

Location:

171 MADISON AVE STE 400, NEW YORK, NY 10016, US

Mission Statement

For the past 40 years, Droste Mental Health Services, Inc. has been driven by the belief that everyone deserves compassionate mental health care. We've provided thousands of clients in the New York metropolitan area with excellent and affordable services. What started with two volunteers committed to giving back to the community has grown into a team of over 20 providers who serve hundreds of clients annually. Our clinicians, coming from diverse backgrounds and clinical expertise, share a unified mission: providing excellent and affordable therapy. Though our roots are Catholic, our therapy services are not religiously based. We welcome people from all backgrounds, religions, and identities, particularly those in the LGBTQ+ and BIPOC communities who have faced discrimination.

Description

Droste offers individual, group, couples, and family counseling. Our main programs include:

  1. Scholarship Fund: A sliding scale for those unable to pay full rates, subsidized by our mission partners.
  2. Community-Based Counseling: 16 free therapy sessions for NYC students and their families, funded by Catholic Charities of NY.
  3. Clinical Training Program: Internships for graduate-level students to bridge the gap between academics and practice.
  4. Parish Counseling Network: Affordable, short-term counseling for parishioners in the NY Archdiocese and psychological evaluations for asylum seekers in immigration court.

We aim to grow our impact and need your support in Executive Leadership, Advocacy/Awareness, Engagement and Impact, and Fundraising. Join us in making mental health care accessible to all.
