Position Overview
We are seeking dedicated volunteers to assist in our warehouse operations, including collection and distribution of donated items. This role is crucial in ensuring that we can effectively receive, organize, and distribute furniture and household goods to veterans in need.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in receiving and sorting donated furniture and household items
- Help with organizing and maintaining the warehouse inventory
- Participate in loading and unloading of donation items
- Assist in preparing items for distribution to veterans
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and safe warehouse environment
Requirements
- Ability to lift and move items weighing 50 pounds or more
- Reliable and punctual
- Comfortable working in a warehouse setting
- Passion for helping veterans and supporting the community
- Must pass a background check (certain felonies may disqualify candidates from volunteering)
Time Commitment
- Volunteers are needed on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays
- Shift hours: 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM
