Position Overview
The Neuroscience Teaching Assistant supports faculty in teaching introductory neuroscience courses, assisting with labs, discussions, and student support.
Location: Remote
Start time: Jan 6, 2025
Time Commitment: 2 to 6 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
- Teaching Support: Lead online discussion sessions, hold office hours, and assist with course materials on neuroscience topics.
- Grading: Grade assignments and exams related to neuroscience content.
- Lab Assistance: Assist with virtual labs and neurobiology demonstrations.
- Student Support: Answer questions and provide clarifications on complex neuroscience topics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Neuroscience, Biology, or a related field; graduate students preferred.
- Strong understanding of neurobiology, brain structure and function, and neurophysiology.
- Previous teaching or tutoring experience is a plus.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
