Position Overview:

The Renal Physiology Teaching Assistant supports faculty in teaching courses related to renal physiology, assisting students, and ensuring effective learning experiences.

Location: Remote

Time commitment: 2 to 6 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

• • Teaching Support: Lead discussion sessions, hold office hours, and provide support for lectures on renal physiology topics.
  • Grading: Grade assignments and exams, and maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
  • Student Assistance: Help students understand complex concepts related to renal physiology through one-on-one or group sessions.
  • Content Development: Assist in preparing course materials, quizzes, and study guides.
  • Resource Management: Ensure that all educational resources are up-to-date and accessible to students.

Qualifications:

• • Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Physiology, or a related field; graduate students in medical or biological sciences are preferred.
  • Strong understanding of renal physiology concepts and mechanisms.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Previous teaching or tutoring experience is a plus.
  • Ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse learning audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
