Job Description:
As an Endocrinology Teacher Assistant, you will support instructors in delivering engaging lessons
on the endocrine system and its role in maintaining homeostasis. You will assist in creating
educational materials, managing virtual labs, and fostering a deeper understanding of
endocrinology concepts tailored to students aged 8-17.
Responsibilities:
* Assist instructors in delivering lessons on endocrinology topics, including hormonal
regulation, endocrine gland functions, and related disorders such as diabetes and thyroid issues.
* Support the design and implementation of virtual labs, case studies, and interactive discussions to promote active learning.
* Monitor student participation, providing timely support and feedback to ensure comprehension and engagement.
* Collaborate in adapting lesson plans to suit varying age groups and comprehension levels.
* Facilitate the use of online tools and platforms, troubleshooting technical issues as needed.
* Promote an inclusive and stimulating learning environment, encouraging curiosity about STEM and medical sciences.
Qualifications:
* Pursuing or holding a Bachelor’s degree in Endocrinology, Biomedical Sciences, Physiology,
or a related medical field.
* Strong foundational knowledge of the endocrine system, hormonal pathways, and their
physiological impacts.
* Excellent communication skills to explain complex concepts in an age-appropriate and
engaging manner.
* Proficiency with virtual teaching tools (e.g., Zoom, Google Classroom) and other online resources.
* Prior experience in education, mentoring, or tutoring children is a plus.
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively
Requirements:
* Recent Vulnerable Sector Police Clearance Check.
* Reliable internet connection and a computer with video conferencing capabilities.
* Enthusiasm for STEM education and inspiring interest in medical and biological sciences.
