Inland Seas Education Association has a mission of fostering Great Lakes stewardship, curiosity, and passion. We accomplish this mission through a variety of hands-on science programs. A number of these programs take place on traditionally rigged schooners which need annual maintenance.
If you have experience in:
- Carpentry
- Plumbing
- Varnishing
- Painting
- Sanding
Or are looking to gain experience in any of those areas, we would love to have you on our team.
There are a combination of on-site work projects and take-home projects.

ISEA is a non-profit educational organization made up of scientists, sailors, educators and concerned citizens. Since our founding in 1989, 125,000+ participants have sailed aboard our traditionally-rigged tall ship schooners while participating in ISEA's Schoolship Program on the Great Lakes.
