Job Description:
As a Cardiology Teacher Assistant, you will support instructors in fostering a deep understanding of the heart and cardiovascular system among students. Through engaging lessons, interactive virtual activities, and collaborative projects, you will help del iver age - appropriate content, assist in virtual classroom management, and inspire curiosity in the medical field.
Responsibilities:
* Assist instructors in delivering interactive lessons and virtual labs related to cardiology,
such as heart anatomy, blood circulation, and common cardiovascular conditions.
* Support students aged 8 - 17 by answering questions, guiding discussions, and ensuring a
productive virtual classroom environment.
* Help track attendance, student progress, and participation during sessions, reporting to the
lead instructor weekly.
* Provide logistical and technical support, such as setting up virtual tools, presentations, and
simulations.
* Collaborate with instructors to ensure lesson materials are accessible and age appropriate .
* Encourage a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment that motivates students
to explore medical sciences.
Qualifications:
* Pursuing or holding a Bachelor’s degree in Cardiology, Biomedical Sciences, Nursing, or a
related medical field.
* Strong foundational knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex medical concepts for
younger audiences.
* Proficiency in virtual teaching tools and learning platforms (e.g., Zoom, Google Classroom).
* Demonstrated ability to engage with students and foster an interactive online learning
atmosphere.
* Prior experience in online teaching or tutoring is an asset. Requirements:
* Recent Vulnerable Sector Police Clearance Check.
* Reliable internet connection and access to a computer with video conferencing
capabilities.
* Passion for medical science education and mentoring students.
