Position Overview
The Anesthesiology Teaching Assistant supports faculty in teaching introductory anesthesiology courses, conducting virtual demonstrations of anesthetic procedures, and assisting students with the application of anesthesiology techniques and principles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lab Assistance: Assist in virtual labs focusing on anesthesiology techniques and safety protocols.
  • Teaching Support: Lead online discussion sessions, hold office hours, and assist with course materials.
  • Grading: Grade assignments, quizzes, and exams, and maintain student progress records.
  • Student Support: Provide clarification and assistance to students in understanding anesthesiology principles and practices.
  • Safety and Procedure Oversight: Enforce safety protocols in simulated anesthesiology exercises.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Anesthesiology, Biology, or a related field; graduate students preferred.
  • Strong understanding of anesthesiology techniques and pharmacology.
  • Previous teaching or tutoring experience is a plus.
  • Ability to communicate complex topics in an accessible manner.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
