- Schedule Gift shop volunteers and make sure substitutes are available as needed
- Assure the new volunteers are properly trained in the Gift Shop operations
- Regularly update all volunteers on new procedures
- Keep Volunteer Coordinator informed with new stock and pricing
- Make sure all counters and shelves are clean and tidy
- Is responsible for all aspects of payment processing, which requires sound knowledge of the basic principles of cashiering operation; handling cash sales, daily sales, credit card sales and check and payroll deduction sales.
- Manage Inventory
- Arrange an annual meeting of your volunteers to review service procedures and problem areas
- Maintain a rapport with your volunteers. If any problems arise, bring these to the attention of the Volunteer Coordinator.
- Keep abreast of changes in the service schedule due to resignation, long-term absence, and new volunteers
- Assist the Volunteer Department in the task of ensuring that all volunteers in the gift shop complete their annual PPD
