Thank you for your interest in joining the Sending Sunshine team! This is a Manager level position, and will require you to be dedicated and committed. You will have the ability to gain documented volunteer hours through this position if desired.
Your duties will include:- Managing relationships with corporate and community partners
- Organizing and hosting online card-writing workshops for corporate and community partners
- Identifying and attending community events (both online and in person within the GTA) that align with Sending Sunshine's mission
- Hosting a few volunteer events each year (both online and in person)
- Representing Sending Sunshine in a positive and professional manner
- Being responsive to email requests, answering in less than 24 hours during weekdays
- Attending team meetings
- Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
Position Requirements:
- Must be located in the Greater Toronto Area. Applicants outside of this region will not be considered.
- Strong time management, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Hard working and dependable
- Web conferencing experience
- Comfortable with Google Suite (including Google Sheets, Docs, etc.)
- Comfortable with public speaking in person and virtually
- Be able to attend some in person events throughout the year (for example, managing a booth at Streetsville's Christmas in the Village event)

Sending Sunshines is a registered charity that collects and distributes cards to seniors living in long-term care and independently in the community. Anyone in Canada can send a card to a senior experiencing loneliness!
