Position Overview:
CSA is seeking an experienced Software Developer Volunteer with expertise in Wix to join our tech team. In this role, you will contribute to the development and enhancement of our technology platform, HumanoMaximus.Org, which connects vulnerable populations with community resources through an AI-driven, user-friendly interface. As a Software Developer, you will play a critical role in optimizing the platform’s functionality and ensuring its seamless integration with Wix, providing an intuitive and efficient user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Platform Development on Wix:
  Lead the development, enhancement, and optimization of HumanoMaximus.Org, utilizing the Wix platform, including Wix Velo for backend development and integrations. Develop custom solutions within the Wix environment to meet the platform's needs.

• System Design and Architecture:
  Work closely with the team to define and implement the architecture of the platform, ensuring scalability, security, and performance. Make technical recommendations for system improvements.

• Code Review and Mentorship:
  Review code from junior developers, interns, and volunteers, providing mentorship and best practices for working within Wix’s platform, ensuring code quality and consistency.

• Integration and API Development:
  Build and maintain third-party integrations using Wix’s API features to connect community resources, real-time data feeds, geolocation services, and more.

• Collaborative Development:
  Work with UX/UI designers, other developers, and project managers to ensure cohesive implementation of platform features. Actively participate in sprint planning and development cycles.

• Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
  Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues, including bugs, performance problems, and integration challenges within the Wix ecosystem.

• Documentation:
  Write detailed technical documentation for the platform, APIs, and custom Wix code to ensure the platform is easily understandable and maintainable by future developers.

• Strategic Input:
  Provide guidance and input on technology strategy, including suggesting improvements and new features based on your knowledge of Wix and the needs of the platform.

Qualifications:

• Extensive experience in software development. Ideally with Wix, including Wix Velo for custom backend development.

• Proficiency in Wix’s development tools, APIs, and integrations.

• Strong experience with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and JQuery.

• Knowledge of cloud computing services (e.g., Wix Cloud) and database technologies (e.g., Wix Data).

• Experience integrating third-party services and APIs in Wix-based platforms.

• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues within the Wix ecosystem.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and collaborative development.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Experience working in nonprofit or social enterprise settings is a plus.

• Passion for using technology to create positive social impact.

Location: Remote
Role Type: Volunteer (Part-time/Full-time)
Time Commitment: Flexible, approximately 8 hours per week.
