Company Overview: The Center for Societal Aspiration (CSA) is a growing 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization focused on rehabilitating and empowering vulnerable community members, including those facing addiction, homelessness, and poverty, through innovative, socially driven technology.
Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and strategic Marketing and Communications Lead (Volunteer) to guide our marketing efforts, manage operations, and oversee a dynamic team of volunteers and interns. This role is ideal for someone with extensive industry experience who is passionate about leveraging their skills for meaningful change. As a key member of our team, you will shape and execute CSA’s marketing strategy, develop brand awareness, and amplify our mission through impactful storytelling and content creation.
Key Responsibilities:
Marketing Strategy Development:
Design and implement a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy that aligns with CSA's mission and goals, identifying key channels and approaches to enhance outreach and engagement.Operational Oversight:
Manage day-to-day marketing and communications operations, ensuring smooth workflows, timely content delivery, and alignment with organizational goals.Team Leadership and Management:
Manage a diverse team of volunteers and interns, providing mentorship and guidance to build their skills and support CSA’s marketing initiatives.Content Creation and Storytelling:
Oversee and create compelling content across digital platforms (social media, website, newsletters) to communicate CSA’s initiatives, achievements, and impact, with a focus on cohesive storytelling.Brand Management:
Maintain and evolve CSA’s brand identity, ensuring consistency in design, voice, and messaging across all communications and marketing materials.Campaign Leadership:
Plan, lead, and execute marketing campaigns for key initiatives, including fundraising, events, and community engagement efforts.
Qualifications:
Extensive experience in marketing, communications, or a related field, with a track record of successful strategy development, execution, and team management.
Strong portfolio demonstrating skills in brand development, content creation, and storytelling.
Proficiency in marketing tools and software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, social media management platforms, analytics tools).
Excellent leadership, project management, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage marketing operations effectively, balancing strategic goals with day-to-day needs.
Passion for nonprofit work and a strong commitment to supporting vulnerable communities.
Location: Remote
Role Type: Volunteer (Part-time)
Time Commitment: Approximately 8 hours per week, flexible schedule.
