Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced IT Project Volunteer to oversee the planning, execution, and successful delivery of our technology projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of project management principles and experience leading cross-functional teams in the development of IT solutions. As a volunteer, you will manage technology initiatives that enhance our platform and support our mission of helping vulnerable communities.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Coordination:
Lead the planning and execution of IT projects, including defining project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with key stakeholders. Ensure alignment with CSA’s mission and organizational goals.Team Leadership:
Manage and coordinate a diverse team of developers, designers, and other technical staff, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.Resource Management:
Identify and allocate resources required for project execution, ensuring that team members have the tools, access, and support needed to perform their tasks effectively.Timeline & Milestone Management:
Develop and maintain project schedules, track project progress, and ensure that deadlines and milestones are met. Proactively identify and address potential delays or obstacles.Stakeholder Communication:
Maintain clear and ongoing communication with internal stakeholders, including leadership and cross-functional teams. Provide regular updates on project progress, risks, and outcomes.Documentation & Reporting:
Ensure comprehensive documentation of all project processes, including timelines, decisions, and changes. Provide detailed reports to leadership and key stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability.Post-Implementation Support:
Ensure smooth handover of completed projects to the operational team and provide support for any post-launch issues or improvements.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in IT project management, including leading technology projects and managing cross-functional teams.
Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Trello).
Experience with IT infrastructure, software development, or systems implementation projects.
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with a focus on overcoming obstacles and finding solutions.
Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team, providing leadership and guidance when needed.
Passion for social impact and using technology to help underserved communities.
Location: Remote
Role Type: Volunteer (Part-time)
Time Commitment: Approximately 8 hours per week, flexible schedule.
