Position Overview:
CSA is seeking an HR Recruiting Volunteer to assist in identifying, recruiting, and onboarding qualified candidates for both staff and volunteer positions. This volunteer role is integral to CSA’s ability to build a strong, diverse team that can deliver impactful services to vulnerable communities. You will gain hands-on experience in recruitment processes while contributing to the growth and success of a nonprofit organization with a powerful mission.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment Strategy Support:
Collaborate with CSA’s HR and leadership team to design and implement effective recruitment strategies that align with CSA’s mission and organizational needs.Job Posting & Advertising:
Write and post job descriptions for staff and volunteer positions across relevant job boards, CSA’s website, and social media platforms. Ensure all postings attract diverse candidates and align with CSA’s values and needs.Candidate Sourcing & Outreach:
Identify and reach out to potential candidates for open positions. Utilize various platforms (LinkedIn, job boards, community networks) to proactively source candidates and foster relationships with local talent pools.Applicant Screening:
Review resumes, cover letters, and applications to assess qualifications and suitability for CSA’s open roles. Conduct initial screening interviews and recommend candidates for further consideration by the hiring team.Interview Coordination:
Schedule interviews, coordinate with hiring managers, and ensure a smooth and timely interview process for candidates. Prepare interview materials and assist with interview logistics.Onboarding Assistance:
Support the onboarding process for new staff and volunteers by coordinating orientation sessions, providing necessary documentation, and ensuring that all required forms and materials are completed.Database Management:
Maintain and organize an up-to-date candidate database to track progress and ensure that all recruitment activities are documented.Volunteer Recruitment:
Assist with sourcing and recruiting volunteers for CSA’s programs and initiatives, ensuring a consistent and robust volunteer pipeline.
Qualifications:
Strong interest in human resources, recruiting, or nonprofit work.
Previous experience in recruiting or staffing (preferred but not required).
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar office management software.
Passion for supporting vulnerable populations and a commitment to CSA’s mission.
Comfortable using digital platforms and tools for candidate sourcing and communication (LinkedIn, job boards, etc.).
Location: Remote
Role Type: Volunteer (Part-time)
Time Commitment: Approximately 8 hours per week, flexible schedule.
