Sweet Living T1D Retreats is a first-of-its-kind, grassroots non profit providing education and wellness retreats for people living with type 1 diabetes.

Your Role

As a volunteer, you’ll play an essential part in shaping the future of Sweet Living T1D Retreats. Opportunities include:

  • Outreach & Marketing : Raise awareness about retreats and expand our reach through social media, email campaigns, and other promotional efforts.
  • Fundraising : Collaborate on grant writing, donor outreach, or organizing creative fundraising events.
  • Administrative Assistance : Support day-to-day tasks such as participant communication and data organization.

At Sweet Living T1D Retreats, our goal is to enhance the quality of life for adults with Type 1 Diabetes by providing support, education, and community-building opportunities. Addressing the often-missing mental health component in diabetes care, we offer sustainable stress management tools and foster a nurturing environment for lasting friendships.

Description

Sweet Living T1D Retreats is a nonprofit organization hosting educational and wellness retreats specifically designed for adults with Type 1 Diabetes. Our retreats provide a comprehensive approach to health and wellness by offering guidance from certified diabetes educators (CDCES), registered dietitians (RDN), exercise physiologists, and soon mental health counselors, all of whom live with Type 1 Diabetes. Our retreats are held in serene natural surroundings providing an ideal environment for learning, relaxing, and cultivating a compassionate and supportive T1D community.
