Join Our Silver Readers Circle Program - Enrich the Lives of the Elderly Through Storytelling. Join us in creating a vibrant, inclusive community where stories come alive, and the voices of seniors are always heard!

What to Expect:
The Cynthia F. Blaizes Foundation is seeking compassionate, dedicated individuals who are fluent in Korean, Spanish, Mandarin, or Cantonese to facilitate our Silver Readers Circle program.
This weekly session is designed for seniors in Adult Day Health Care Centers across Central Los Angeles, where participants will listen to stories, engage in discussions, and share their own life experiences.
We Provide: All Story Materials - We provide all stories, poems, and reading materials for the sessions, ensuring engaging content that sparks reflection and conversation.
What's Required:
Volunteers with Fluency in Korean, Spanish, Mandarin, or Cantonese - Must be able to communicate clearly with seniors in their native language.
Good Reading/Verbal Skills - Must be able to read and translate well!
Program Commitment:
Weekly Sessions - We're looking for volunteers who can commit to one session per week (1.5-2 hours per session) for a 6-month to 1-year period.
Locations - Various Adult Day Health Care Centers and Assisted Living Facilities in Central Los Angeles.
Starting Date - January 13, 2025.
Compassionate Heart - We're seeking individuals who genuinely care about enriching the lives of seniors, showing patience, kindness, and respect for their life experiences.
Reliable Transportation - Must be able to travel to various locations in Central Los Angeles.
Independence & Teamwork - Ability to guide the painting class independently, while collaborating with facility coordinators to ensure a smooth experience for the seniors.

Description
Our 'CANVAS OF CARE' program is a monthly SIP-N-PAINT class held at our partnered senior facilities in LA. We are looking for 5-10 MULTI-LINGUAL Artists, painters, illustrators, etc. able to lead group painting sessions (2-3 hours),
What We're Looking For:
- Fluency in Korean, Spanish, Mandarin, or Cantonese - Must be able to communicate clearly with seniors in their native language.
- Artistic Skills - Previous experience in leading art classes or working with diverse groups of people is a plus!
- Compassionate Heart - We're seeking individuals who genuinely care about enriching the lives of seniors, showing patience, kindness, and respect for their life experiences.
