We are seeking a motivated and creative Event Planner to help organize and execute our upcoming STEAM Festival. In this role, you will work closely with our team to coordinate event logistics, develop engaging programming, and ensure the festival runs smoothly. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact while gaining valuable experience in event planning and nonprofit work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage a comprehensive event plan, including timelines and schedules.
- Coordinate with speakers, facilitators, and vendors etc to ensure their participation and needs are met.
- Assist in the creation of promotional materials and outreach strategies to attract participants.
- Oversee logistics, including but not limited to technology requirements and supplies.
- Collaborate with the team to design engaging STEAM-focused activities.
- Provide post-event feedback and recommendations for future events.
Ideal Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Creative problem-solving and the ability to think on your feet.
- Passion for education and STEAM initiatives.
- Experience in event planning, project management, or related fields is a plus but not required.
- Familiarity with online collaboration tools is helpful.
Time Commitment:
Flexible, with a preference for a few hours per week. Can be done on weekdays or weekends.
