Volunteers will assemble graham cracker and frosting gingerbread houses during the week leading up to the gingerbread house decorating event for families. Volunteers will then be needed the day of the event to greet guests, show guests where to go, refill candy and other items, clean up, etc.

About The Volunteer Center of Reno County

Mission Statement
The mission of The Volunteer Center is to match individuals willing to serve with non-profit and governmental organizations in need of help for the benefit the community. Our goal is to be the first place people think of when they want to be of service and the first place non-profit and governmental groups think of when they need dependable volunteer help. As a result we extend the human capacity of area non-profit and governmental agencies by recruiting volunteers to fill a wide variety of volunteer positions in the community.
Description
The Volunteer Center recruits, refers and supports volunteers for the betterment of the community. The Center is home of the Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP), the Volunteer Action Corps (VAC), Friends in Action and the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program in Reno County, Kansas.
