Job Description:

As the Social Media Creator for STEM Canada, you will drive engagement and

grow our online community by creating compelling and informative social media

content. Your work will play a key role in promoting our mission and showcasing

the impact of our STEM-based educational programs. This position is ideal for

someone creative, knowledgeable about social media trends, and

passionate about STEM education.

Position: Social Media Creator

Location: Remote

Time commitment: Flexible Hours

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, design, and post engaging content across STEM Canada’s social

media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn.

Collaborate with the Marketing and Promotion team to create content

that aligns with campaign goals and organizational branding.

Use storytelling techniques to make STEM education topics engaging and

accessible to a broad audience.

Schedule regular posts and monitor engagement, responding to

comments and messages to maintain an active online presence.

Utilize social media analytics to track and report on content performance,

making data-driven adjustments to improve reach and engagement.

Collaborate with the Graphic Designer to create visuals and multimedia

elements that enhance social media posts.

Stay updated on social media trends, STEM education news, and best

practices to keep content fresh and relevant.

Engage with industry partners, educators, and other STEM organizations

to expand STEM Canada’s online network and influence.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Digital Media, or a

related field

1+ years of experience managing social media content for an organization

or brand

Strong understanding of major social media platforms and best practices

Excellent writing skills with a creative approach to content creation

Proficiency in social media scheduling tools and analytics

Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Photoshop) for

creating social media graphics

Passion for STEM education and community engagement

Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team
