Position: Networking Coordinator

Description:
As a Networking Coordinator for STEM Canada, you will play a vital role in expanding and maintaining our organization's professional network. This position involves creating and nurturing relationships with educational institutions, industry partners, and STEM professionals to support our mission of delivering top-notch STEM literacy and application. The ideal candidate will be a skilled communicator with a passion for STEM education and a talent for building meaningful connections.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement networking strategies to expand STEM Canada's reach and impact.
- Organize and coordinate networking events, both virtual and in-person, to foster connections between STEM professionals, educators, and students.
- Manage and update our database of contacts, ensuring accurate and current information.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify networking opportunities that align with organizational goals.
- Represent STEM Canada at industry conferences, educational forums, and community events.
- Facilitate partnerships between STEM Canada and relevant organizations, businesses, and educational institutions.
- Create and maintain a mentorship program, connecting STEM professionals with students.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Communications, Business, or a STEM discipline)
- 2+ years of experience in networking, relationship management, or a similar role
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote environment
- Passion for STEM education and its importance in today's world
- Familiarity with the STEM education landscape in Canada (preferred)
