Calling all educators!
The Brown v. Board of Education NHP could use your help educating children nation-wide about one of the most pivotal U.S. Supreme Court decisions in our country's history.
The Brown v. Board of Education decision is far more complex than a little girl whose parents sued to get her into an all-white school. This landmark victory for equality was decades in the making. Attorneys, parents, scientists, activists, and students struggled to steer the nation toward justice. After the decision, and even today, there is more work to be done by everyday citizens with a common goal -- equality.
Help us draft and review lesson plans on historic figures, places, and events surrounding the Brown v. Board decision to clearly communicate the case and its impact to students of all ages, primary to post-secondary.
Suggest and review exhibit materials to be displayed in throughout the site or used in classroom presentations. Ensure compliance with common core standards through all products created to enable continuity for all educators that may use our products.
This volunteer position will report to the Education Specialist at the Brown v. Board NHP and primarily work on a project-by-project basis. This is a virtual position; Volunteers will be expected to perform work on their own equipment and collaborate through phone or email.
