Role Overview
As our Curriculum Development Specialist, you will play a critical role in designing culturally sensitive integration curriculum tailored to the unique needs of refugees and migrants in various regions. This remote, volunteer role allows you to make a meaningful contribution to a global cause while developing your curriculum expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Curriculum Design: Develop integration curricula that address cultural, social, and practical aspects of life in host countries.
- Cultural Adaptation: Tailor content to suit the needs and cultural contexts of diverse refugee and migrant populations.
- Resource Development: Create educational materials, guides, and activities that facilitate self-reliance and social integration.
- Collaboration: Work closely with program leaders and community representatives to ensure the curriculum meets the practical needs of the communities served.
- Feedback Incorporation: Gather and integrate feedback from pilot programs to improve curriculum effectiveness.
Qualifications
Ideal candidates:
- Experience in curriculum development, education, or instructional design.
- Knowledge of refugee and migrant issues, with a focus on cultural integration.
- Strong writing and organizational skills.
- Ability to adapt materials for diverse cultural contexts.
- Availability to dedicate at least 5 hours per week.
