Role Overview

As a Pro Bono Legal Advisor, you will provide on-call legal support, advising Creshendo on a range of legal matters that may include nonprofit compliance, contracts, intellectual property, and employment law. This remote role offers flexibility while enabling you to make a lasting impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Legal Consultation: Provide timely, on-call legal advice on issues related to nonprofit operations, compliance, and governance.
  • Contract Review: Review and advise on contracts, MOUs, and partnership agreements to ensure Creshendo’s interests are protected.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify potential legal risks and offer practical solutions to support organizational growth.
  • Policy Guidance: Advise on policies related to intellectual property, privacy, employment law, and other relevant areas.
  • Collaborative Support: Work closely with the leadership team to address legal questions that support our mission and operations.

Qualifications

Ideal candidates:

  • Licensed attorney with experience in nonprofit or social sector law.
  • Strong understanding of nonprofit compliance, contracts, and risk management.
  • Ability to communicate legal information clearly and concisely.
  • Commitment to a pro bono role with flexible, on-call availability.
  • Ability to dedicate at least 3-5 hours per month as needed.
