Fantastic opportunity to create and develop internal and external communications, focusing on marketing, communications, written content & social media for our organization.
• Conducting a needs assessment regarding marketing and communication priorities for Volunteer Liberia
- Benchmarking with other similar institutions to learn what communications campaigns have been most successful
- Ownership of social media strategy creating regular, relevant posts across Linkedin, Facebook, TikTok, Twitter and Instagram;
- Assist Website Manager to execution of website strategy;
- Manage the development, distribution, and maintenance of all print and electronic collateral including, but not limited to, newsletters, brochures, posters, media releases, promotional materials, banners and organization website
- Coordinate webpage maintenance--ensure that new and consistent information (article links, stories, and events) is posted regularly
- Maintain e-Newsletter mailing list, and seek to increase readership/engagement
- Take/edit photos, record video, capture testimonials, live tweet events
- Develop PowerPoint presentations of YCWL projects
- Development and execution of campaigns to support operational activities and increase brand awareness. Updating all social media channels for the company.
- Create relevant content for social media.
- Write blogs and other website related content.
- Sharing high-quality content across all channels.
- Manage Google Ads
- Develop and manage organization youtube
- Manage Facebook and Instagram Ads
Measure Analytics
a. Record weekly and monthly statistics for website, e-Newsletter, and social media pages as well as community presentations and media appearances to measure impact and set goals to increase engagement and overall effectiveness
Administration (Assist in Virtual office administration_.
Key Tasks:
- search for advertisement spaces for posting Volunteer Liberia opportunities (Universities, NGOs or other websites)
- Maintain and file PR reports
- Keep minutes of meetings attended as required
- Maintain a media and government contact list
Experience
Excellent copywriting and editing skills with the ability to create, engaging, technical, written content.
- Previous experience in a Travel company is preferred.
- Track record in day to day management, development and delivery of social medial channels is essential.
- Team player who will be comfortable working closely with all internal functions, excellent communication skills.
- Proactive, innovative and creative with a real desire to shape and drive this role.
