We are seeking passionate and skilled tech enthusiasts from around the world to volunteer in our mission of empowering young girls in Ghana through intensive coding training. This volunteer opportunity invites experienced developers, designers, and tech professionals to join our team in mentoring and teaching girls the foundational skills of coding, web development, and digital technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach coding fundamentals, web development, and digital skills to young girls.
  • Guide and mentor participants on individual and group coding projects.
  • Assist in designing and implementing interactive lessons tailored to beginners.
  • Provide hands-on support, answer questions, and help girls troubleshoot code.
  • Collaborate with local instructors to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Offer career guidance, inspire confidence, and help participants build tech portfolios.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in coding, web development, or digital design (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, etc.).
  • Strong passion for tech education and empowering underserved communities.
  • Prior experience teaching or mentoring is a plus but not required.
  • Strong communication skills, patience, and enthusiasm for working with youth.
  • Adaptability and openness to cultural exchange and working in diverse environments.

Additional Details:

This volunteer opportunity spans across multiple regions in Ghana. Volunteers should be open to traveling to various locations, with support provided for accommodations and transportation. Training materials, logistical guidance, and a thorough orientation will be provided to ensure volunteers are well-prepared and can maximize their impact.
