Position: Data and Reporting Officer (Volunteer)

About Austin NOW:

The Austin chapter of the National Organization for Women (NOW) is dedicated to advocating for the rights and well-being of women in our community. Our Ending Violence Against Women Committee focuses on combating domestic violence, sexual assault, and systemic violence against women through advocacy, education, and community support.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Data and Reporting Officer to join our Ending Violence Against Women Committee. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate records, tracking the progress of our initiatives, and providing data-driven insights to inform our advocacy efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain Records: Accurately log and update data related to committee activities, events, and outreach efforts.
  • Track Progress: Monitor the progress of ongoing projects, initiatives, and advocacy campaigns, ensuring milestones are met.
  • Prepare Monthly Reports: Compile and present comprehensive monthly reports for the Committee Lead, summarizing key activities, metrics, and outcomes.
  • Support Data-Driven Decisions: Assist in analyzing data trends to help guide the committee’s strategies and advocacy efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Basic experience with data entry and analysis (Excel, Google Sheets, or similar tools).
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to summarize information clearly and concisely.
  • Passion for gender justice and a commitment to ending violence against women.
