Position Title: LGBTQIA+ Rights Volunteer Data and Reporting Officer
Location: Austin, TX (Remote options available)
Reports To: LGBTQIA+ Rights Committee Lead
Time Commitment: 5-10 hours/month

Position Overview:

Austin NOW is seeking a LGBTQIA+ Rights Volunteer Data and Reporting Officer to join our dynamic team. As a volunteer in this role, you will play a key part in ensuring that our efforts to advance LGBTQIA+ rights are well-documented and impactful. You will work closely with the Committee Lead to track and report on the progress of our initiatives, helping to inform strategic decisions and improve our advocacy efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain Records: Organize and update data related to LGBTQIA+ rights initiatives, including advocacy campaigns, events, and outreach activities.
  • Track Progress: Monitor key metrics and outcomes of LGBTQIA+ projects, ensuring that milestones and goals are met on schedule.
  • Prepare Monthly Reports: Provide regular updates on committee activities, including data analysis, key accomplishments, and areas for improvement.
  • Assist in Data Collection: Help collect qualitative and quantitative data for campaigns, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with the LGBTQIA+ Rights Committee Lead to align on reporting priorities and contribute to overall strategic planning.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Google Sheets, Excel, or other data management tools.
  • Comfortable working with numbers and tracking progress against established goals.
  • Ability to synthesize complex data and present it in an accessible, clear format.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A passion for LGBTQIA+ rights and social justice.
  • Previous experience in data analysis or reporting is a plus but not required.
