Want to help Ukrainian youth succeed in school? RefugeeOne has served nearly 6,000 Ukrainians seeking stability in Chicago in the past few years - and we need your support to help Ukrainian youth thrive!
Volunteers in our In-Home Youth Tutoring program will be matched 1:1 with a recently arrived school-aged youth (5-14) to serve as a friend and role model. Tutors meet refugee students in their homes to:
- Provide academic tutoring
- Practice English
- Encourage healthy school habits
- Provide social support as they navigate life and school in Chicago
- Share culture and hobbies
- ...and more!
No additional languages skills required, flexible scheduling to match your availability.
Interested? Connect with us on VolunteerMatch or email Volunteer Coordinator Cate at volunteer@refugeeone.org!
