VOLUNTEER Mentor Opportunity

Looking to make an impact? Join Youth Mentoring Connection and volunteer to join a young person on an athlete's journey! Join Youth Mentoring Connection’s upcoming sports and fitness program and help guide high school students as they navigate their unique paths. Our mentors change lives by offering support, encouragement, and a trusted connection--and we need you!

Alternating Monday and Thursday evenings

5:30 pm-7:30 pm

Located @ 8407 S. Vermont Ave., LA 90044 / Darby Park

Beginning Nov 4th

Running through April 2025

Prospective Mentors complete our screening process, including an application and interview. Following training, each volunteer Mentor is matched with a High School student, in a safe community setting. We provide all the training, activities, curriculum and more. You just need to bring your care, be willing to share your story and a desire to change a life!

YMC is a mentoring-driven community developed to awaken young adults from at-risk regions to their power, unique gifts, and purpose by matching them with caring adult mentors and placing that pair within a structured group dynamic that builds the emotional resiliency skills and confidence in adolescents to self-actualize into adulthood.
