Active Resolute Connected (ARC) is a transformative 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to improving physical and mental health through movement-based wellness programming, which includes movement coaching, physical therapy tips, mindfulness practices, and connection. Participants have praised the support system, highlighting the encouragement from coaches and mentors who provide weekly check-ins and inspirational quotes, making failure not an option. Another participant emphasized how the program made her prioritize her health, leading her to monitor her nutrition, blood pressure, and glucose levels. The program has been described as a "Godsend" by a third participant who found it helped her manage stress and improve her physical capabilities, such as running her fastest 5K. ARC's impact is further evidenced by testimonials from participants who have experienced significant improvements in their physical health, such as reduced A1C levels and improved timed miles, as well as enhanced mental skills like resiliency and confidence. The program's success is also reflected in the BGR/Athleta Cohort, where 100% of the 30 participants were African American and benefited from individualized coaching, physical therapy, and mentorship. ARC's mission is to break barriers and empower women, including those facing challenges related to race, ethnicity, and physical abilities, to lead vibrant and healthy lives. Through initiatives like the ARC Q4 Recruitment Initiative, the organization aims to expand its reach and recruit a cohort of 5 BIPOC women, providing them with the tools to achieve health and wellness. The program's comprehensive approach and strong support network have been instrumental in helping participants manage anxiety and depression, as well as fostering a sense of community and empowerment.
