Hi! My name is Denise and I'm the Director of Cibus Mission. I am not from the nonprofit world, so asking people to donate money for me to do stuff with it for others, sounds weird to me and off.
That said, we've done a lot and we've acquired a lot of in-kind donations (food, stuff and gift cards) and volunteers (both online and on-site).
I need some guidance on what is it to get donors, how does that work, where do I need to go (online preferably) and what do I need to say. What do I need to look for and how to improve my message.
We have some awesome programs for next year and we need to raise $50 thousand dollars and I am hitting a major mind block in figuring how to do this in such a short amount of time. (by March)

I apologize if it is a bit difficult to go through, the website was done by me and it is a work in progress. This is run on 100% volunteers, so we really can't do it without people like you! We believe in sustenance for all. In sustenance and sustainability. We believe in feeding people and teaching them how to feed themselves. We believe that a healthy family unit is vital to the growth and development of children and believe that children and their innocence are sacred. We also have a youth life skills programs. We believe in natural burials. We also believe that love is love and if 2 consenting adults wish to be married than they should be able to solemnize their marriage by whomever has been called to do so which is why we have an ordination program.

*Fill 5-8 blessing boxes food & hygiene products weekly (thousands of items) and at our table.

*We have given away over 150 chicken deli sandwiches, 100 beef empanadas, 400 pieces of fried chicken to not only the neighborhood but also to the firefighters & police officers.
*We had a Summer Youth Garden Program but because of lack of funds & supplies, we only had 3 kids
*We designed & made our own website using Wordpress & have posted multiple tiktok videos & facebook posts as well as LinkedIn
We NEED you!
*To help at the social media level.
*To volunteer with our fundraising efforts. We have LOTS / TONS of items that we can use for fundraising but no volunteers to help post online or door to door.
*To make the Youth Garden Program Grow in 2 folds
→ online & on-site, so they can learn about the plants & also do the planting vegetables only to eat at the end.
→ To help us plan logistics of feeding the kids/teens every session and graduation where they get a box of food including their own veggies and a certificate.
→ Have a snack before or after each session. So lots of logistics to figure out for that.
→ We need people to work outside to clear out more space for the youth garden & make a sheltered picnic area.
