About L I F T LEADING INDIVIDUALS FROM TRAUMA INC

Location:

7 MARCUS GARVEY BOULEVARD, SUITE 421, BROOKLYN, NY 11206, US

Mission Statement

LIFT-Leading Individuals From Trauma leads the effort to assist children, teens, adults, and elders getting back what they lost in society. We will LIFT the Bedford Stuvesant community of Brooklyn, NY up and eliminate hunger by providing food, social services and solutions that inspire self-reliance and community empowerment in a dignified manner

Description

Lift started as a womens group back in 2002 in Philadelphia at Women Against Abuse. Louise Villacci was the intake supervisor for the only DV shelter in Philly and saw a need for the dv victims to talk about what they were going through. It developed over many years into today's company where all victims of trauma can get help either directly or through referrals to a community pantry, wrap around social services and much more.
