Mission Statement

The LEAH Foundation supports women and girls in Nigeria who have faced significant hardships, especially those kidnapped or affected by violence. It was founded after Leah Sharibu, a young girl kidnapped in 2018, refused to renounce her Christian faith and remains captive. The foundation aims to free women from captivity, provide education and job skills, advocate for kidnapped girls, and assist survivors. Key initiatives include teaching skills like farming and sewing, offering safe housing and counseling, supporting girls' education, and advocating for kidnapped girls. They operate in areas impacted by terrorism, collaborating with local leaders to identify those in need.
