We are looking for a compassionate, dedicated volunteer to help prepare mailings to our hospice families and make weekly calls to our patients and their caregivers to ensure they have the medical supplies they need for the week. Anticipated work time is approximately 2-3 hours per week on Thursdays, but is flexible depending upon volunteer availability. Based in our Lawrence office on Merrimack St.

Description
Hospice Volunteers are an integral part of the Interdisciplinary team consisting of a medical director, nurses, therapists, social workers, chaplains and home health aides. Volunteer roles consist of direct patient visits at home, reading, music, pet therapy, reiki, veteran recognition, and other administrative duties. Hospice volunteers find their work emotionally meaningful and gratifying. The volunteer opportunity is extremely flexible based on the volunteers' location and schedule; volunteers are valued members of our hospice care team.
