Community iNReach is seeking volunteers for community events. CI is a growing nonprofit organization with a vision to provide financial literacy and entrepreneurial resources to the youth. As a part of the team, you will help execute community events focused on spreading financial literacy and resources to the underserved communities.
Job Summary:
The volunteer will assist in event coordination and set up on-site. On-site you will be responsible for engaging with community members encouraging them to sign up with our partnerships and empowering them with knowledge they are not privy to.
Responsibilities:
- Provides outreach to local community organizations and works with them to schedule and execute community events
- Serves as liaison to community centers and/or local organizations
- Participates in community activities and meetings.
- Maintains contacts with organizations
- Responsible for building inclusive community engagement opportunities for community members, staff and community partners.
Collection Acquisition & Utilization
- Ensures company tablets are ready and set up to sign up interested members
- Develops and implements new strategies and methodologies to increase consumer awareness and monitors the results achieved.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum one-year experience working with youth (preferred)
- Must have the ability to work with a diverse population and effectively provide excellent customer. service to a large number of customers simultaneously. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Solid interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. Strong networking, facilitation and outreach skills.
- Solid working knowledge of all MS Office suite and all Google applications.
- Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks, and meet program deadlines.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals and groups, both professional and non-professional, co-workers, management personnel, and the public.
- Ability to create clear and concise reports, and to deliver them orally to a wide variety of audiences.
- Bilingual abilities preferred.
