The Community Health Outreach Volunteer plays a vital role in supporting Golden Experiences' mission to provide health resources, education, and support to underprivileged seniors, mothers, and children. This volunteer will assist in organizing and participating in health-related outreach events, providing basic health information, engaging with community members, and helping connect individuals to essential health services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Community Engagement:

  • Attend and actively participate in community health events and activities, such as health screenings, educational workshops, and public health fairs.
  • Distribute health education materials, resources, and supplies to community members in need.
  • Engage community members, answering basic health-related questions and referring them to available resources.

• Health Education and Advocacy:

  • Provide information on preventative health measures, wellness practices, and available healthcare services.
  • Promote awareness of health issues relevant to underserved populations, including seniors, mothers, and children.
  • Help facilitate group discussions or mini-sessions on various health topics under the guidance of healthcare professionals.

• Support Event Operations:

  • Assist in setting up and breaking down event spaces and managing health outreach materials and supplies.
  • Help with event logistics, including registration, directing participants, and providing general support to attendees.
  • Coordinate with staff to ensure smooth operations and an engaging experience for all participants.

• Data Collection and Feedback:

  • Gather feedback from event participants to help Golden Experiences improve future programs and services.
  • Assist in collecting basic participant information and tracking outreach success metrics, as needed.
