Website Designer using Wordpress (Volunteer Position)
We are seeking a talented and passionate Website Designer to help create a new, modern, and user-friendly website for our organization. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to make a meaningful impact by helping us enhance our online presence and improve our reach to support our mission on expanding sustainability and working on climate action worldwide. The website will serve as a hub for our programs, resources, and updates, and will be designed to engage a global community. Wanting a more simple website.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design a new website that is simple, clear, and visually appealing using WordPress.
- Collaborate with our team to create a seamless user experience and intuitive site navigation.
- Implement responsive design for compatibility with mobile and desktop.
- Ensure the website is optimized for speed and search engines (SEO).
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proficiency in website designer tools and platforms (e.g., WordPress, BlueHost etc).
- Knowledge of SEO fundamentals to improve online visibility.
- Basic graphic design skills for creating visuals, icons, or infographics are a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with a team.
Time Commitment:
Flexible hours, with an estimated commitment of 5-10 hours per week for 4 months or however long it takes.
