About Us: Project Sound Off is dedicated to advocating for criminal justice reform and empowering communities. We seek an enthusiastic and confident Secretary to join our team and support our mission. We serve the entire Chicago area and Lake County.
Position Overview: The Secretary will play a crusial role in facilitating Board and Committee meetings, ensuring smooth operations, and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate will have experience with Zoom and Excel and possess execellent organizational and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordination: Facilitate Board and Community meetings using Zoom, ensuring all technical aspects are managed efficiently.
- Minutes Taking: Accurately create and distribute meeting minutes to all attendees in a timely manner.
- Agenda Management: Prepare and issue meeting agendas to members, ensuring timely distribution and clarity of topics.
- Record Keeping: Maintain comprehensive and organized records of all meetings, including minutes, agendas, and other relevant documents.
- Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for meeting-related inquiries and communications.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Zoom and Excel
- Strong organizational skills and attention to details.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Experience in a similar role is great.

Our goal is to educate the public about this system, which affects everyone. We will advocate for families and people in and out of prison and be a network of supporters in a campaign for change. We will educate the public about political leaders who protect our constitutional rights and lead for reform.
Description
We are a young organization that was formed to address bad legislation that continues to erode our constitutional rights that has justice impacted our poor communities through mass incarceration. Our goal is to education our communities to the criminal justice system through zoom and townhall meetings.
Our Newsletter shares vital information with the community on criminal justice issues as well as issues affecting policies of loved ones incarcerated or wrongfully convicted.
