Job Title: Sales, Event & Visitors Center Coordinator
Location: Kiawanda Community Center, Pacific City, OR
Type: Full-time (40 hours/week); flexibility required for evenings, weekends, and holidays
Compensation: $36,000 annual base salary + sales bonus opportunity

Position Summary:
Kiawanda Community Center (KCC), a community-centered nonprofit in Pacific City, seeks a Sales, Event & Visitors Center Coordinator. This role combines event coordination, class programming, visitor services, and volunteer management to foster an engaging community space for residents and visitors alike.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Event Coordination: Plan, organize, and execute a range of community programs, private events, and gatherings, from weddings to concerts.
  • Community Class Programming: Manage class schedules, support instructors, and help develop new programming based on community interests.
  • Sales & Client Services: Handle event inquiries, schedule events, and work to meet sales targets.
  • Visitor Services: Oversee the Visitor Interaction Center, providing information on local attractions and ensuring a welcoming environment.
  • Volunteer Coordination: Recruit, schedule, and coordinate volunteers to support events and daily operations.
  • Budget and Reporting: Support financial tracking, present budget updates to the board, and maintain contracts and event records.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in event coordination and class programming, ideally within a community or visitor center
  • Venue rental organizational skills
  • Budget management skills necessary
  • Strong and professional communication, and customer service skills
  • Ability in Canva, Google, Facebook/Instagram
  • Knowledge of Pacific City is critical to the success of the blend of venue and community programming

Welcome to the Kiawanda Community Center, 'The Place to Be’ in our beautiful little beach town on the Oregon Coast. The KCC hosts classes, concerts, and community events, and we also welcome our community to join us for a Senior Meal every Thursday at 11:45am (lunch is served at noon).
