Are you passionate about technology and empowering women and girls to succeed in tech? Do you have expertise in creating educational materials and want to make a difference? We are looking for dedicated Content Creators to volunteer with us in developing accessible, self-paced learning resources that will help women and girls build foundational skills in technology at no cost.
About UsOur mission is to provide accessible, self-paced, and high-quality tech education for women and girls who may not have the financial means to pursue traditional learning pathways. We believe that every woman deserves the opportunity to explore and excel in technology, and we’re building a platform to support this journey.
Role OverviewAs a Volunteer Content Creator, you will develop beginner-friendly learning materials in the form of PowerPoint presentations or PDF documents for one or more of the following domains:
- Computer Fundamentals
- Database Administration
- Computer Networking
- Linux Administration
- Server Virtualization
- Programming (Python)
These resources will support self-paced learning, equipping our students with practical skills and confidence to step into tech roles.
Key Responsibilities- Develop Course Materials: Create clear, concise, and visually engaging learning materials (PowerPoint or PDF) that cover foundational concepts in one or more of the specified domains.
- Design for Self-Paced Learning: Structure content in a way that allows independent learners to grasp and apply key concepts at their own pace.
- Incorporate Practical Exercises: Include activities, examples, and practical exercises that reinforce learning and help students gain hands-on experience.
- Align with Beginner Needs: Develop content that is accessible to students with no prior background, breaking down complex topics into simple, approachable lessons.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Experience in one or more of the specified domains with the ability to simplify complex concepts for beginners.
- Content Development Skills: Proficiency in creating PowerPoint presentations or PDF-based learning materials that are both informative and visually engaging.
- Commitment to Accessibility: Passion for creating content that empowers diverse learners, especially women and girls transitioning into tech.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency in all educational materials.
By volunteering your skills, you will play a direct role in removing educational barriers and helping women and girls acquire valuable tech skills at no cost. Your contributions will enable our learners to explore tech careers and build confidence, all while learning in a flexible, self-paced format.

Description
The goal of CYSD is to break the cycle of educational inequality by tackling the root cause of high dropout rates in secondary schools, particularly concerning insufficient reading proficiency among primary school children in the Munyenge community. Additionally, our organization is committed to enhancing the living conditions of vulnerable populations, including orphans, street children, internally displaced children due to the ongoing conflict in the English-speaking regions of Cameroon, youth, individuals grappling with substance abuse, teenagers, women, and sex workers in both rural and urban settings.
