Do you have a knack for connecting with people and a passion for animal welfare? Join Motley Zoo Animal Rescue as an Outreach Volunteer for our "Rock the Rescue" Virtual 5K Race. Your enthusiasm and outreach efforts will play a pivotal role in expanding our event's reach and impact.

Time Commitment: Approximately 5 to 15 hours per week leading up to the event.

Role Description:

Our Outreach Volunteers are instrumental in expanding the reach of the "Rock the Rescue" Virtual 5K Race. You'll engage with community organizations, schools, fitness clubs, and other groups to promote participation and support for our event.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and compile a list of local organizations and groups that may be interested in the event.
• Contact organizations via email, phone calls, or virtual meetings to introduce the event.
• Distribute digital flyers and promotional materials to potential partners.
• Coordinate with community leaders to share event information within their networks.
• Follow up with contacts to encourage registration and support.

Qualifications:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable with outreach activities and initiating contact.
• Organized and able to manage outreach lists and follow-ups.
• Enthusiastic about Motley Zoo's mission and able to convey its importance.
• Previous experience in community outreach or sales is a plus but not required.
