Be a part of "Phillip Cares" as an volunteer! Join this project we offer aimed at helping us fulfill our mission. The goal is to focus on ensuring the program is fully operational, reaching the intended population, and delivering impactful services to low-income pet owners in Mobile County and Baldwin County, Alabama.
Goal:
In 2025, we will establish a system for monitoring and evaluation (M&E) to track program outcomes and gather data for future improvements. This system will allow us to measure our impact and ensure that we are meeting the needs of the community.
Objectives:
- Develop an M&E plan by the end of Q1 2025 that outlines key performance indicators (KPIs), data collection methods, and timelines.
- Collect and analyze data on the number of families assisted, services utilized, and participant feedback.
- Conduct 2 program evaluations in 2025 (one at mid-year and one at year-end) to assess the effectiveness of the program and identify areas for improvement.

Description
Phillip Cares Essentials, (PC Essentials), is an animal welfare organization that helps low-income pet owners access essential food, toys, and veterinary care in Mobile and Baldwin County, AL. The program was created in 2024 to fill a critical gap in services for pet owners who are at risk of losing their pets due to financial difficulties. We focus on preventing pet abandonment before it happens by offering practical assistance, making it easier for families to meet their pet’s needs. We believe that by helping people care for their animals, we are also promoting stronger, more responsible pet ownership in the community. PC Essentials provides several key services that help pet owners ensure their pets stay healthy, happy, and well cared for. For food, toys, and veterinary care, approved pet owners receive up to $50 that can be redeemed through one of our partners, or we will order items directly and have the items mailed to the pet owner’s home. Our core services include:
