The US Army Corps of Engineers at Marion Reservoir is seeking qualified candidates to serve as campground volunteers for the 2025 Recreation Season. Marion Reservoir is located approximately 46 miles northeast of Wichita on the western edge of the beautiful Flint Hills region of Kansas. The lake offers excellent opportunities for boating, fishing, hunting, camping, hiking, and sightseeing.

Volunteers will assist park rangers and other personnel operating and managing high quality recreation areas.

Typical job duties may include painting, repairing shelters, litter/branch removal, assisting campers as needed, and various other tasks. Volunteers are required to provide their own licensed transportation with insurance and fuel for any duties they perform. Volunteers will be required to provide their own living quarters, RV must be presentable, registered, titled and road worthy. Candidates should be able to work the entire recreation season, April 1 through September 30, and may be able to start before then if desired. Volunteers are expected to work at least 20 hours per week, and schedules are flexible to meet your needs. Volunteers will be provided with a full hookup campsite (sewer, 50/30 amp electric, and water) during their time here.
